Step Bolts

Steel step bolts. Zinc-plated for added rust resistance. Similar to a carriage bolt, but with a larger diameter head. Has a smooth, domed head with a square notch under the head. When used in wood, the square notch will dig into the wood as the nut is tightened, preventing the bolt from spinning. Or a special washer with a square hole can be used (Called a "Torque Washer", available in our Washer section). If used in harder materials, a pre-punched square hole is needed.
