Compression Female Adapters

Brass female adapter. This fitting has a removable nut and compression sleeve on one end and female NPT pipe thread on the other end. In the item description the first number is the compression size. The second number is the pipe thread size. (Compression size = outside diameter "OD" of the tubing). Use with brass, copper, aluminum, polyethylene, polypropylene, and nylon tubing. For use with water, oil, air, and more. IMPORTANT NOTES: (1) When using plastic tubing, a brass tube insert (sold separately) should be used in conjunction with these fittings to insure a proper seal. (2) If using fittings in a system that supplies drinking water for human consumption, be sure to choose fittings with "lead free" in the description.
